A Deep Sea Fog

The people walking in darkness have seen a great light; on those living in the land of the shadow of death a light has dawned.  Isaiah 9:2 NIV

"Be careful out there today, a deep sea fog has set in," the meteorologist shared this morning. A deep fog leaves you with not much visibility.

I usually don't have to drive in it or even experience it, but today when I opened the blinds instead of seeing sunshine or even the neighbor across the street. I saw fog. The clouds came down and enveloped my home.

Not much can cut through fog. Light is almost useless in it. A dim light can help you maneuver through it, bright light on the other hand makes it even harder. Sometimes it's just easier to wait until the sun can come help burn it off.

Sometimes a problem can be hard to get through. A problem that seems almost impossible to overcome, it's set in all around you. It's deep, it's hard to get through. A little bit of light seems to help, but it's slow going and hard to see ahead.

A little progress seems good, so then we plunge ahead with full force only to end up with a bigger problem. Sometimes it's just easier to wait and let the Son come and help take care of it.

His light will dawn through any problem.
